Everett has the industrial land the rest of the inner core does not, which makes it one of the more productive places to erect steel inside Route 128.
The work here is warehouse and light industrial framing, conversion of older industrial buildings, and the ongoing redevelopment along Lower Broadway and the Mystic waterfront.
Permitting and access
Everett's building department requires stamped drawings for structural work and inspections at the usual stages. Sites near the waterfront and the casino corridor add traffic management and MassDOT coordination for large deliveries and crane mobilizations, which is a lead-time item rather than a difficult approval.
Typical local scopes
- Warehouse frames, joist and metal deck packages
- Storage and pick mezzanines with grating and rail
- Reinforcement of existing industrial framing for new equipment
- Egress stair towers in conversion projects
- Loading dock canopies and bollards
